Gaynor Roberts is one of Her Majesty’s Inspectors. She is qualified teacher. She also has a degree in mathematics, the national professional qualification in headship and a master’s degree in education (autism). Before working in Ofsted, Gaynor worked in primary and special schools. She has extensive experience of leadership in special schools in both the maintained and non-maintained sector.

  • Understanding the core standards expected by Ofsted and CQC and sharing key lessons and insights from the joint SEND local area inspections
  • Evaluating how education, care and health services can demonstrate they effectively meet SEND needs and enhance outcomes
  • Exploring how local SEND offers and the development of Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans are evaluated by inspectors
  • Assessing how SEND teaching and provision will be assessed and monitored within the new Education Inspection Framework and evaluating the role of the new consultation into the Framework
