Elizabeth has worked  in education for over 30 years and in SEND for over 25 years as a support teacher, an  Advisory Teacher for Speech, Language and Communication needs for Barnet LA 2003 – 2009,  and since 2009 as a SENCO. Elizabeth set up and ran a very successful cross borough secondary SENCO Forum which provided half termly meetings for SENCOs and  training opportunities for staff based on identified needs from 2011 - 2018. She has spoken at National conferences organised by Optimus Education, the NEU, and Modern Gov and provided training for recruitment agencies. Elizabeth has worked with the EEF and on the TA apprenticeship project. She has contributed articles to the magazines nasen Special and  Connet and the Optimus Education Insight magazine. Elizabeth was one of the SENCOs interviewed by ASK research for the 'Effective SEN Support: research evidence on effective approaches and examples of current practice in good and outstanding schools and colleges.' research paper. Elizabeth  is a member of the nasen SENCO and Learning Support Advisory Group.
