Sharon Fryer

Head of SEND and Inclusion - St Helens Council

Sharon has held a variety of roles across the Public and Voluntary Sector. Having worked in a number of Local Authorities and in consultancy, Sharon has undertaken roles across the breadth of children’s services across education, health and social care, which has provided a strong foundation for a leadership role in SEND. Joining St Helens Public Health Team in 2015, Sharon led the development of integrated commissioning including a strategic review of the autism pathway leading to a co-produced Neurodevelopment Pathway. Sharon is the co-chair of the North West Strategic SEND Group, an LGA SEND Lead Peer Reviewer, and has co-led the development of a peer review framework for the North West. Sharon lives in Liverpool, is a keen walker and enjoys the arts. Sharon has an interest in mental health and has contributed to national reference groups on community approaches to children’s health and wellbeing.
