Ama has been teaching for 30 eventful years. She is currently Head of Inclusion (SENDCO) at Woodbridge High School in Redbridge. Ama is originally a primary school teacher and took a keen interest in reading development and the reasons why a child may not fully or efficiently develop the skills to read and spell. That sparked an interest in dyslexia and all the complexities that surround it, including mental health.
Ama went on to gain a postgraduate qualification in dyslexia and literacy, latterly becoming more involved in dyslexia assessment and diagnosis than specialist teaching, alongside her role as Head of Inclusion.
